Two people, been together for 6 years (not married or engaged - just boyfriend and girlfriend). Have seperated for two months and will be discussing their relationship after xmas. One of the party wanted to discuss it prior to this as he wanted to get back together and she said she didnt want to talk about it. She has just had her birthday and told him he wasnt invited, however prior to this they had met for lunch on one occasion and a drink on another but nothing happened. Do you think this looks like they will get back together or not?

Sounds like she broke up with you to try out another piece of meat, maybe an old flame. After the other man goes away she will come back to you.

Maybe 'she' has decided that the relationship is over but doesn't know how to tell 'him'

Break-ups are a bit like sticking plasters, quicker the better, hurts less later.

Good luck either way. xx

I think he wants to get back with her but she is not very keen to get back with him. So whether they get back depends on whether she wants to. I think she doesn't want him but doesn't want anybody else to have him.
