I know a lot of people say never to get a perm, I use products and scrunch my hair and it curls very nice, but I dont have the time anymore and its not giving me the affect I would like to have, I want bigger loose curls, what kind of perm would give me that affect?

I think that you should keep doing what you are trust me i put a perm in my hair a couple of times and it stripped it right out. So now i do the same thing you do or when i take a shower i don't dry it i ust let it air dry with some hair spray or a good holding gel. If you want bigger curls you can always use a wide curling iron or use big i mean the biggest you can find and wear them over night. In the morning or when you are ready to style your hair just take them out and with a wide tooth comb just go through them gently it looks so pretty. I do all of these to give my curls a different look sometimes.

A body wave will give you that effect. There are a few things to know before getting a perm.

1. It's called a perm cause it's permanent... like for months.
2. If you have thin, silky hair, you risk having your hair burnt if it is left on for too long.... it'll look like an afro.

Have you tried products to make your hair curl easier: They have shampoo, conditioner, gel, hairspray, etc.

My daughter was going to get a perm and tried L'Oréal Vive products to curl her hair easier and now that's all she uses. She likes the idea of having straight hair sometimes and curly at others... much less permanent...=)

Don't, especially if you don't have time for an elaborate hair care routine. Right now you don't have time to style your hair, but if you get a perm, it's gonna be alright for a month or so. But the bad effects will start showing up afterwards and you are gonna need a lot of time to take care of your hair, find right products to repair damage, frequent visits to the salon, tremendous waste of time and money, in my opinion.

Just my opinion here, but don't perm it. If not used correctly, the chemicals can destroy your hair.
