He won't lie still. Hates anything near his eyes.

Last time i tried, because he was wriggling, by mistake poked him in the eye.

Any advice on keeping him still. Very grateful for any tips !

thankyou.

Kids HATE eyedrops. Believe me, I'd know. I'm thirteen and still shake and cry when I have to put them in and I have no idea what it is about them. First of all, try distracting him with something or putting his mind on something else.

Ideas: Television, a toy, pleasant conversation, ect.

Then do it and do it fast! He actually won't notice that much once they're in his eye. Tell him he was a good boy and give him a sticker or a sucker or some kind of reward.

I'm a dad of a 2 year old. There is no way to let a child let you stick things in there eye. You just have to hold them down and do it as fast as possible. When you are done, tell them that mommy had to give you your medicine, and give them a hug and say that they are ok. Thats all you can do.

EVERYBODY probably already told you this one have him close his eyes and put a drop in the corner of each eye ...or have him do it him self...have him put one drop in himself..show him how to do it...one drop at a time in with his eye closed... and then gently open...one at a time... then open ...and that's that...
easy does it....

Lie him down, put them in the corners of his eye (the tear duct), not center. they will naturally work their way into his eyes this way.
