I know im not the only one who notices the amount of people on yahoo answers who mispell words, use jacked up grammar, and bluntly put abuses the hell out of the english language. Now usually when i dont know how to spell a word, i'll either look it up, or think of a word that means the same and use it if i know the spelling. On here its obvious these mispellings arent typos, the grammar isnt just slang or internet jargon, its a bad education. Can i get an FU to the public school system?

You know when people say they stopped going to church because the preacher wasnt right? Or when you give someone advice, they turn and say "well what about you, you aint this or that". To me thats called shooting the messenger and not getting the message. If the message is right, why shoot the messenger?

I don't think it is just the public eduacation system. How good or bad it is (the school) depends on where you live and what school you go to. While yes, some teachers cannot teach (my six grade teacher, she should have retired a long, long time ago because she has forgotten too many things) I do not think they are the main problem

I think that most of it is just pure laziness. To lazy to learn, to lazy to try. If you want to place the blame on someone other than the individual themself, blame society. Society teaches that learning is "not cool" hence the words "geek" and "nerd". I myself use proper grammar and have a richer vocabulary because I read, even if I cannot always pronounce things =D

On the other hand, a few mistakes are no big deal. If they forget a period or spell because "beacuse" no big deal. but when it gets to the point where I might as well be deciphering another language bc they right lik this, than i hav a prob wit it.

I can't give you an FU, as I'm going to college to be an elementary teacher, but I totally agree. These people either slept too much or had horrible teachers. Also, if these people are too lazy to think of a different words or look a word up, the newest version of Mozilla Firefox has a built in spell check. It's not hard to download and would make our experience on Yahoo Answers a little more tolerable.

each person has plenty of recommendations on the subject of faith!!! difficulty is agreeing on a precise suggestion. For instance, I believe that faith is the basis rationale of some of the evil on this planet... a sarcasm... whilst you come to believe that it's meant to combat evil. however at the different facet of the coin, each and every faith is intently concerning the tradition and customs of the land, and considering that of this, it's primary that it's taught within the faculties. Now I consider within the present society, there must be a direction known as faith which opens the eyes of the scholars to the entire religions, no longer simply those they train at dwelling, this manner there'll def be extra know-how and recognize for the opposite religions. Of direction, it's all hypothesis and recommendations... what honestly occurs, is that every character faith will probably be supported and a biased view will probably be unfold, considering that of countless causes which are not directly comparable with faith... that's a disgrace. Last factor (despite the fact that it must were first) wherein precisely are those tuition, India? which state? Second edit... while i began penning this be aware, there used to be no longer a unmarried access, by the point i stopped.. there have been greater than i used to be inclined to depend. But approximately the subject, i consider this can be a well one. however be open minded to each perspectives and are available to a end founded at the features you're striking ahead. One motive for introducing faith in tuition, is considering that of the peer discussions that may comply with, and some of the matters a youngster learns this present day are besides from tuition and peers and no longer from dwelling. this can be a def confident to introduce, however how is the largest and so much complicated aspect of its execution!!! i desire you good fortune! cheers.

Most of the people who answer/ask questions on yahoo! answers aren't from USA, or UK ..... Most are from foreign countries and use the international language - English. Like myself. English is not my language..... And if I have some mistakes then that doesn't have to be due to the public school system... You, my friend, have a lot of errors in your post, as well. Don't tell me it's because your teachers or anything school related. No, it's because you were in a hurry, or you just didn't notice...or, or, or .... Etc. People aren't necessary stupid or anything like that... Sure, they can check the word on Firefox, or a traditional dictionary .... But they are just tired, lazy.... Give them a break! Not as if you're any better. Don't be so quick to judge... Especially when you're not perfect....

You are presuming that we are all public school educated. In truth some people don't use spell check. As I know that I occasionally misspell a word, I endeavor to use spell check for most of my answers. There is also a school of thought that seems to feel that if you misuse or abuse reasonably good English, that it will draw more attention to your question.

Your spelling may be correct, but your punctuation and grammar aren't exactly perfect. Public education is only what you make if it. Besides, how do you know some of these people didn't go to private school?

I'm not so sure if it is poor education. I think it probably has more to do with laziness then education. Besides acronyms are just as bad as poor grammar and spelling.

Spellcheck doesn't correct capitalization or grammar usage.

Nice try, though.

You get an F.

edit: DID ANY OF YOU NOTICE THE ERRORS IN THIS POST? It's the epitome of hypocrisy. All of you get an F!
