I had the same problem. I tried moving the alarm clock away from me across the room. Didn't work. I would get up and turn it off and go back to bed. I set an alarm in the bedroom and in the living room so I would have to actually remove myself from my comfort zone (bedroom). Especially right now that it is cold it is harder to get up. Make sure you have a warm robe or blanket to throw over you as soon as you wake up so you don't dread the cold. I don't think it's a matter most of the time of still being still it's just so darn cold that our bodies want to stay warm. '-) So make sure you have everything prepared in the morning (alarm clock, robe or blanket, and most of all commitment). you have to com mitt yourself to getting up when the alarm goes off. I was written up at work and I didn't have a problem getting up after that. lol! '-)

I to was a "snoozer" but I discovered a few things to end that.
#1. You know how movies/tv always show the alarm clock on the night stand next to the bed? It sould NOT be there. Your alarm clock needs to be at one of the farthest points. The further you have to go to get to the alarm clock the more your heart rate will increase (though it is a slight increase it is enough) and therfore making it that much harder to fall back to sleep.
#2. Darkness is great while falling asleep, but not wen you're trying to wake up. A lot of people have a hard time waking up b/c of this one simple problem. Red curtains are great, at night it is very dark...in the morning, Hello Sunshine! Think of it like this, ever wake up in the middle of the night to go to the RR and turn on the light? Takes some time for your brain to get back to deep sleep after the light. But if you go to the RR using a hall light/night light you don't have the same probs getting back into REM sleep.
I hope this helps!! Good luck breaking the cycle... you'll need about a week of diligence, then you'll be golden!

I always get up because I know if I hit the snooze I'll never get out of bed. Try changing the ringer if it's a phone or using the phone if it's an annoying alarm clock.

Try the "Clocky." It rolls off your nightstand when you push the snooze button, and rolls somewhere randomly, so when it goes off again, you have to hunt for it.
I just decide what time I need to get out of bed, and back the alarm up so I can hit the snooze several times.

Super glue several needles to the snooze button; now this may not stop you completly but it will break you from the habit.

Try putting the alarm clock on the other side of the room so you have to get out of bed to shut it off.

The best way is to move the alarm clock to the other side of the room. That way you HAVE to get out of bed.
