She sounds like she needs some family. What WERE her plans for Christmas? Was she going to be alone? Had anyone invited her to join them? Even if she IS lying about having a crushed skull and a blood clot, she is probably just doing it because she's so desperate for some love and attention. I think you should just ignore the fact that maybe she's lying, and do your best to spend some time with her when you can, and encourage other family members to do the same.

Go see your nan at the hospital as soon as possible. I would suggest you speak to the doctors about her crushed skull and blood clot - they will tell you the truth.
I know you said your nan has lied about a lot of things, but I work with the elderly (bless 'em) and sometimes they just seem to know when their time is up - even when they lie about other things!
Take care.

she sounds depressed...this maybe purely a signal for attention...she definitely seeks attention...maybe you should go and visit her? talk to her about nice things, her young years etc. Many people these days , especially the old, feel maladjusted because of the pace of modern life. She may need some more love. I think you should go and see her as soon as possible. Xmas is the time we spend with family, she definitely said all those things because she feels hurt inside for whatever reason. Even if you didnt do anything, this call o hers was simply the call for attention which she definitely deserves. Maybe ask her to come over for Xmas? Show her that you care and love her:)
Please go and visit her. She will be happy to see you.

I think she is seeking attention. Many people get depressed around the holidays, and look for attention. Ringing people unexpectadly sounds a little weird, that didnt make any sense. I hope she is not delusional. I think your mom or dad should take her to the doctor. She needs attention and affection. This is just a cry for help.
merry xmas

I think ur nan is pulling a fast one, if she had a crushed skull you wouldn't be talking to her now and as for a blood clot, depending where it was, but let assume its in her head, no doubt she'd be very dead. But she is ur nan, and lets face it we don't live forever, so prob best if u just pop in and say "hi", sure she'd appreciate it

If she has a crushed skull, she should already be in the hospital and under major sedation.
Either way, you should go visit her. Sounds like she needs love and attention.

She's obviously using attention seeking behavior for some reason. Do you spend time with her on a regular basis? Do other family members spend time with her? I hope so because it would be sad if she had to use such drastic measures as lying about her health to get a phone call or visit.

Yes I agree, just go and check her out to be safe. But if she had a crushed skull, she probably wouldn't be here already but she def wouldn't have time or be able to call you and let you know about it

she could be feeling lonely and in need of some attention...find out what hospital she's going to and call them, then go and see her to see if she is ok.....she may be in need of someone around her right now...is your grandad still alive? maybe she is missing him if she has lost him, if she has lied before do some checking up...tell your parents what she said to you, and have them go over to see if she is ok.....
