If you are afraid for your safety then don’t go. However, if you are using the word “afraid” to describe general nervousness about going on a date with someone you like then go. If the later, it might help if you invite other friends along. Group dates are great because you get a chance to hang out with a lot less pressure.

this used to happen to me when i was younger. you might just be nervous cos you like him so much. or it might be cos you are afraid of him and what he might do. for example there was once this guy that liked me like crazy and i liked him except he was into bad things e.g. drugs and i was afraid of what i would end up as if i had a relationship with him and i also didnt relly trust him either.

or it might be cos you wont know what to do on this date.only do what you feel comfortable with doing. if going on a one to one date is too hard at the moment, go on a group outing with all your friends and his friends so you can spend time together but not necessarily be alone. hope it works out

Examine why you're afraid. If it's just nervous, then suck it up and go, you'll have fun. If you're afraid of *him* though, like you don't think you can trust him, don't. The last thing you want is to be in a position where you could get hurt.

Why are you "afraid"? Is he a cannibal? Has he killed someone before? is he like 30yrs older than you?

If you are afraid of him.. then.. umm.. yeah there isnt much chance that you will spend time with him ya know. why not start off smaller like.. dinner? or the park or the zoo? heck someplace with a lot of people.

Then dont go with him to a place youre not comfortable because it will only be awkward and you will not enjoy and it will show in your action. Its best to go to a place both of you like so both of you will have a good time and it will strengthen your relationship in the future.

just give the boy a chance to show you what kind of love he is expressing.
if you get so much afraid you will never get to know what kind of friendship you are having with him.
take it to the level of trusting himand he you.

Take a chance, could be romantic. Especially if the chemistry is there, who knows. the relationship could be more than just friends.

What is there to fear about going to a movie? Are you paranoid or do you have a legitimate reason for this fear? Once you work that out then you'll know what to do.
