Well you can rummage in your cupboards for things like bags of sugar, flour anything which has a weight on it, add them up to around 15 kilos. Put them in a black bin bag and then lift both (if you can) together. If they feel about the same weight then you should be okay.
Ryanair (they are the 15 kilo limit) also allow you 10 kilos of hand luggage so leave some space in your hand luggage in case you have to empty something from your suitcase.
Hope this helps!

i've just packed a case and it measures approx. 60cm / 40cm / 25cm and it weighs just under 15kg. it's got the usual in it, clothes, shoes and general stuff plus a few pressies and some books.
15kg isn't much, i thought the usual was 20kg. you'll have to take the essentials and not much else.
hope this helps.

it is going to rely on the airline you're vacationing with. some will help you pool your bags allowance yet no longer all do ie Ryanair. The nmax weight for each bag is 32kg for defense. superb to envision with the airline until now you get to the airport. Smiling on the verify in team will in basic terms no longer artwork if the regulations say no!! it may be embarresing to would desire to repack on the airport!

3 x 5kg bags of potatoes weigh just right.
Pop down the local supermarket and just try the weight.
You'll be surprised at just how heavy it is and how little your suitcase actually weighs.
Don't overfill your hand luggage just incase, and don't bother packing anything you know you really don't need
