Ok- this can get messy, but here goes. When one of your 'guy friends' like you more than just a friend, they will stick around and be your friend until you cave and give them what they want unless, you tell HIM FLAT out, that you are not interested in him that way. But do it in a nice way like, 'i care about you alot, which is why i dont want to get mixed up in a relationship right now, and hurt you' - something like that. He may be able to get over you, and just be friends with you after a while, or he may run away from you - depends on the guy. But you DONT want to lead him on, nor do you want to be mean - so try that approach. its worked for me.

Just tell him what you told us...you like him as a friend. Otherwise he might hang on to a false hope. And by the way...If his feelings get hurt...Oh well...to bad. He's just going to have to get over it. Whats more important to you, his feelings or what you want him to understand and thus give you a little peace of mind.

Follow your heart and hope that he understands. If he is really your friend he wont stop being your friend just bebause you dont like him in that way. Good luck.

just tell him that you like him as a friend and dont want to chance your friendship for a relationship with him and that your friendship means the world to you and if you two where todate that it would come in between your friendship

Be straight up with him... tell him that you know he has certain feelings towards you, but you just don't reciprocate them at this time, and you don't want to try for anything more than friendship. If he can't handle it, then that's his problem, not yours.

I would let him know that you treasure his friendship and that although you are flattered you don't have romantic feelings for him.
