It goes:

Single
Double / Queen
King
Super King
Imperial

Queen is definitely not bigger than a King - it doesn't really exist as a bed size in the UK, but it is the equivalent of a double bed. I'm an interior designer and have sourced loads of beds, and even more bed linen. I wouldn't be doing too well if I didn't know the difference.

The Uk doesn't actually call any bed a Queen size.

over here a King size is the same as a Queen size everywhere else in the world.

And a Super King is the same as a King size everywhere else in the world.

Hope this helps!

King and Queen are the standard sizes that double beds come in. So you know what size to get when you need to buy new linen or whatever.
