Its up to you and the other person. This guy called me after I met him online every day when I was in Europe and he was in Iraq, and even when he went home (NC)and I was still there (in Europe)--it depends I guess on what you're willing to invest ('time together' when online, on the phone talking)...we got married eventually because of our willingness.

How far is too far away? Are you talking Iceland or in another City?
I think that depending on the kind of relationship you have that they can work. I know many military familys who go through this everyday that make it work and are strong because of it.
Do you see each other every few weeks? or are you seeing him every few months? How long have you been dating?
these are all issues with the Loong D.. No matter what you decide.. Long Distance relationships are hard,

I've been in a long distance relationship for over a year. I won't bore you with the details, but it's due to circumstances neither of us can change. However, our relationship is incredibly strong. We are planning to get married. If you feel that your love for him is strong, don't quit. Separation by distance doesn't mean that your hearts are apart. I love my very special lady, and I'm never quitting. Long distance relationships can work if you both love and trust each other.

NOPE!!! Been there, done that!!!!!!!! You will always have a suspicion of whether he is cheating, wondering what he's doing, blah, blah, blah. And honestly, if you have a suspicion he is cheating, he probably is! Long distance relationships don't work. Find someone near you, you owe it to yourself! Happy Holidays to you! Mark C.

I am have been in one for a year and a half and it is working out great. But it takes alot of trust.Make sure both of you feel the same way about each other.Talk to him about it and see how he feels it can work if you both are committed to it.

I think humans are supposed to be physically and emotionally connected. How do you know what he's doing and how does he know what you're doing? Your everyday lives are part of who you are. I would forget about it and find a real man!
