Choose "Name meaning". Be warned that names change; lots of Germans named "Zimmerman" changed it to "Carpenter" when they came here. My 6th great grandfather (Dutch/German) went from "Kesselberg" to "Castleberry".

The only sure-fire way would be to trace your ancestry; that takes a while.

You can probably find out the origin of the name, but since people move around a lot, intermarry, and names change over time, your particular origin may be different. My last name is British origin, but is common in India for example.
