It is pronounced like "pyoo" or like a "pew' in a church aisle. I knew a girl with that last name and that is how she pronounced it, but different people may pronounce it differently. I would just ask the person directly, I don't think they would be offended.

pew-g ...or is the G silent. There was a kid at school years ago and his g wasnt silent. the g made a hard G sound. Like Gold or Grass.
