i make use of avg antivirus and this program keeps placing its files in the c:\ (local drive). does anyone know how can i do in order to put them in a file or delete them. {it doesn't leve me to delete or move them}

Your question is a little hard to follow, but it stands to reason that if AVG won't let you delete the files it probably for good reason. Nevertheless, you could always start your computer in "safe mode" and you will probably be able to delete those files. You can start your computer in safe mode by tapping the F8 key when your computer first boots.

Personally, I have found Avast antivirus to be a preferable program.

Ye i do use that. Now you told that you want to remove the directory the software made in your c:\ drive. Unless necessary to remove the folder from there leave it there. If not try uninstalling and reinstalling it. During install specify the path where you want the software to be installed and change the location of the folder.

I use it it is one of the best anti viruses uninstall it reinstall it again but in this time change its destination drive .
