wats going on here? wich 1 is it? is height important or isnt it?!?! and how short is SHORT

OK. Here's the scoop. I'm 5'10" tall. I'm now 45 years old. I've been a very tall, slim, long-legged blond my whole life. I also really enjoy wearing high heels, which puts me over 6 feet tall.
So, any guy under 6' is gonna be shorter than me. I've dated men from 5'6" tall to 6'9" tall. A man's height has never been THAT important to me, but let me tell you, it's usually quite important to the MEN.
Men just want to be taller than women and that's a plain fact. There have been guys that would never dream of dating me simply because I'm too tall for them. On the other hand, I had a jockey chase me all over Churchill Downs one day, years ago.
Some women want tall men, some don't really care and vice versa. There is NO ONE ANSWER to this question. You have to take it on an individual basis.
If you're a short guy and that matters to you, date short women.
If it doesn't, then walk up to some leggy beauty, look up straight into her eyes and ask her if she's worth the climb.
She'll get a kick out of it! ;-)

I suppose height is important to some people but not all. If you love someone, height doesn't matter. You can't choose who you fall in love with either. If the other person loves you, it's not going to be a problem. Don't be so sensitive to your height. I have a son who is very very short and talk to him every day about his height. He has many friends and he has girls that like him despite him being short. If you are confident with yourself, others will see you differently. If you have issues with your height, others will pick up on that. 5'7" is not too tall for you, no height is if there is love.

Because you probably had different ppl responding.
I would say 5'3 is short for a men and probably would be harder for him to find a women.
5'7 would have an easier time.
But regardless of your height. Its your lack of self confidence that would turn me off in a heart beat. I am 5'2 so pretty much anything is tall to me. But if you lack self confidence you already shot your chance with someone like me because I don't want to baby sit your confidence and constantly have to feel the need to boost it.. Its a definite must for any guy to have!

its all subjective. Theres no such thing as being too short. 5'7 is a good height so you have nothing to worry about. Height isn't important, at least it shouldnt be. Just remember that different people have different tastes. I'm 5'1 and my bf is 6'4 and although there's a huge height gap there, we still love eachother the same.

Many females want a male either the same height or taller than they are. But not all females. My sister prefers smaller men which I couldn't fathom. IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE INDIVIDUAL. Regardless of what a million yahoo answers say. There is someone out there for you, be patient and keep your chin up. P.S. 5'7" to me seems just fine.

Short is short for a man when he is under 5'6''. That should be the absolute shortest. I'm 5'7.5" and I dated a guy about 5'5" and it is really ackward. I mean, I loved him the death, but now a days, I like to reach up and hug my man!
But there is always someone for everyone. SOme girls like them short, and some girls are really short so a 5'3" guy is tall to them.

For dating I dont like anything below 5'8" so yes height is important. But there are many different size women out there so depending on the height on which ones that answered that is why you have varied answers.

5'7" isnt that short at all, 5'3" is very short and its kinda pushing it most girls dont date shorter guys they date their height and up but 5'7" is fine dont worry about it

most guys i know are 5'10 and i think thats average. so i guess anything below that is short. i prefer a guy to be 5'10 or above. i dont want to be taller than a guy when i put heels on. 5'3 is shorter than me so i wouldn't date someone shorter than me. i am only 5'5

to me height is important. Your woman shouldnt be taller than you. the man should hoover over a little. It makes a woman feel secure. To me any man shorter than me has no chance.
