You can watch english tv programmes (series, the news...) , you could go to a country where English is the main language.. you could sign up for english pronunciation classes (some academies have these courses)... good luck!

You can watch American television if you can tolerate the silly content. You can listen to books on tape recorded by American readers (my favorite is George Guidall, especially the Cat Who... books). Or you can find friends who speak American English and meet with them once a week or so for practice. If you are in the US or Canada you may be able to find an English as a Second Language class with an advanced group that focuses on pronunciation. There is a community college in our area (Michigan) that offers classes in pronunciation, maybe there is one in your area. Good luck!

There are a number of on-line dictionaries with link to sound files with the correct pronunciation for Proper English or Amercianised English. Just type dictionaries online in the search engine.

that's cool that you are Indian..

to help: try listening to people who are fluent in english. also watch american tv shows. (european tv shows aren't all that great if you are trying to be fluent because they have all these different accents that are weird and sometimes hard to understand so american english is better cause we have similar accents compared to europe.)

Where do you live??? do you still live in India or do you live in like europe or north america

Well, I suggest you begin with British English. It is grammatically more correct than the US version.

Go to www.bbc.co.uk/languages and you will be able to listen to many common words/phrases and their correct pronunciation. It is all free too.
