My dog is a female lab and whenever a dog named Gracie comes over she plays and then I set out some water and food for Gracie (since no one really knows who she belongs to) and my dog eats it all up. I then step in and she wags her tail and stops. She has no aggressiveness towards male dogs. Even my uncle's Miniture Sniozer(sorry I don't know how to spell it) she is not like that with. Is this the sign of who is higher in the pack? I know she knows that I am the alfa male but I think she thinks she is higher that Gracie. Is that normal?

Female dogs like male dogs have a domination-top dog-alpha ***** order amongst each other. Female dogs are naturally more submissive to males so this why there arent problems with her and male dogs. Your dog eating all the food is a show of domination to the other female dog. It is her house and another female is in her territory basically.

Your dog may perceive herself as the alpha female and is establishing her role amongst the other female. Is she spayed? Just like males it is the same point to establish their dominance. Two unneutered male will usually not fair well together. Each dog pack has an alpha female and male and their roles and rank are the same.

Your dog is probably an Alpha female. They like to dominate others just the same as an Alpha male will rule the pack.

Your dog eats it all up because she's a lab and if a lab sees food, they eat it!! You didn't say anything about her showing aggressiveness towards Gracie - she's just eating the food that's there!

The trials of bi tches!!!!! Really, the males are easier!!! They fight also, but at least you KNOW they will. You can see it the minute they set eyes on each other. The girls are playing one minute, the next they are puffed up bumping into each other to start something. It never end with them. I would take the boys any day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think she's competing for pack female (I forget what they call that) sp she's showing her power by eating first, and, in this case, being a little aggressive.

I hope this helps :-)
