Can you detect Ovarian cancer STRICTLY from an ultrasound...would you be able to tell that you have cancer from a regular ultrasound?

No. It would require additional tests, in particular a biopsy.

Also you need to be sure a radiologist reads your ultrasound. Today Ultrasound machines are found in many offices such as ob/gyn offices. While the staff there may be experienced at looking at fetal images, they are not trained to read for other things.

Here's the order of how I think the tests go to progress in diagnosing breast health issues: 1. Routine Mammogram (or if something questionable is found in between regular mammograms) 2. Second Mammogram when something is in 1st mammogram. 3. Ultra Sound. 4. Ultra sound guided biopsy. Oh, certain women (especially younger women) cannot have mammograms - they can only have ultra sounds I've heard. So, it is not definitive that something is definitely wrong just because an ultra sound was ordered. Good luck.

About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I was never given an ultrasound. MY O.B.G.Y.N. had to remove a piece of my cervix and have it tested. I don't believe an ultrasound could give a 100% accurate diagnosis.

A mass could be detected and a presumptive diagnosis made, but biopsy is the only 100% diagnosis.
