I have come to the conclusion that Christians are so militant to defend their religion because they are trying to convince themselves that it is the true religion. They yell at other people, but, it is themselves that they are really yelling at. They see Christianity as illogical, as G-d is really One, and not a trinity as they have been taught. But, from tradition, they are trying to hold on to it.
I was a Christian-now a Jew, as I believe that there is no G-d but G-d.

I am a Christian, and I try to portray the image of Christ in my answers. I don't call anyone names here, and I certainly hope other Christians don't either. I'm sorry if any Christian has offended you or others. Keep in mind that a lot of people say that they are Christians, but really aren't. They only way to become a Christian is to recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and accept him as Lord and Savior of your life. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian, and having Christian parents doesn't make you a Christian. There's only one way, a way for which Jesus Christ gave his life so you could have eternal life.

I'm not Christian. You friggin' idiot! j/k. Seriously though, I haven't noticed xians calling names today, but then I probably don't read every post thinking "I wonder what this persons religious background and beliefs" are either. This forum is more an entertainment medium than an educational resource rich with questions and answers that possess insight into religion and/or spirituality.

Human. We are Christians but we have what's call the Flesh. We should never let the flesh over power us, but there are times when we stumble. No excuse but it's the truth. we seek to be perfect. God-like. Our Spirit is so suppose to overpower our fleshly desires. We will continue to make mistakes and hopefully learn from them.
Thou that does not stop us from getting back up dusting off and moving forward. That's why we fall the road is a narrow one and filled with bumps and pot holes.God Bless. Love. Amen. (I wish my friends safe journey, faith and Love).

because times have changed and turning the other cheek nowadays gets you shot, or mugged, or your credit ruined, your religious beliefs sanctioned, and so on.....
we have turned the other cheek far too often,.
when they twisted the constitution to take the church out of government, instead of the government out of our churches, as it was originally intended
.
when they took prayer out of school;
when they started calling Christmas, the holiday season,
when they started suing everytime someone wanted to pray in public. or even in a meeting.
and now even our children are being punished for their beliefs in what are supposed to be "religious freedom" times.
enough is enough!!

I am not here for my own entertainment. I am here to bring people closer to Christ. How can I do that if I resort to name calling? We are all special in God's eyes, so if you call someone else a name, you might as well be calling yourself that too. In Christ's sweet love, Cat

I asked the same question and it got yanked. I asked if words and phrases like "Blaspheme, profaner of the Deity, and Anti-Christ, sounded like they came from the alternate jury pool at the Salem Witch Trial." That got pulled.

If somebody hits you...Turn the other cheek. If That person hits the other cheek, Break his hand so he can no longer hit anybody else again. That's my thinking on it.
