Hi,
Well I really really like this girl at work who is around 28 & I am only 22, I have given her hints sometimes that I like her but nothing worked I guess :( , Now I have known her for 6 months only, & problem is since she is around 28, if I did not tell her then she might get married, but for sure she is currently single ! I have this fear coz I liked someone in past who got married ! :(,
Now , do you think it would be weird if I tell her that I like her since been only 6 months & I see her sometimes only at lunch ...
If I wait too long, then she might get married, if I tell her soon, she might get hurt.. ! what should I do ?

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Man up and talk to her. Be courageous, you will regret it if you don't. She might shoot you down and you'll be embarrased and feel like crap. Heck that might happen with the next fifty girls you ask out. But eventually, you'll find the one. If you are a coward, then you could be in for a lonely life.

For a start just because another girl you were interested in got married doesn't mean she will and considering the trends these days women are getting married at a age older and sometimes not at all. Besides if she's currently single even if she got a boyfriend it's unlikely they'd be getting married any time soon! Secondly it's often difficult to ask someone out, especially if you've had limited contact with them but it seems better to have tried and know the result than live in possible regret without knowing. You may be 22 and she 28 but I've been in a relationship with a wide gap age and we were together for almost four years, age isn't always paramount in matters of the heart. My advice for what it's worth take the chance and ask her out, you don't need to make it a date, just a coffee or something and take things at a level you feel comfortable at.

I'm assuming you've talked to her at lunch before since you said you've dropped hints. I would ask her to go to lunch sometime outside of work. Maybe just the deli down the street or a coffee shop, but it would be a good way to get some "alone" time. After a couple meetings like that then you might feel comfortable to tell her how you feel.

It's ok to like her after only knowing her for 6 months. She won't get married that quick, because she's still single--has to date and find that special someone, and even then it'll take time for them to marry. She wouldn't get hurt if you told her you liked her, she'd be kind of happy. Just go out there and talk to her during lunch, and then ask her if she wants to go to _____ at _____ a.m./p.m.
P.S.--I only see my girlfriend at lunch and 1 class, yet we still love each other a lot.

As a woman, I'd prefer a man to just come straight out and tell me that he likes me and wants to take me out. That's because I don't catch hints all that well so your lady friend might be that way as well. Your age is not or should not be that big of a deal. It's only 6 years. My b/f is 14 years younger than me. It doesn't matter. But don't expect her to fall over madly in love with you - just take it slow.

Stop procrastinating! A faint heart ne'er a woman won. Ask her out for a drink or coffee or lunch or something simple. She will either say yes or no. As for the age difference, it is only a number. You want to get to know the person not the age.

I think u should tell her but don't say u know her for 6 months cuz tht might seem strange to her so just tell her tht u want to go out for lunch or something.

You should ask her out to lunch and try to spend more time with her. It sounds more like you are infatuated with her. Until you spend quality time together you won't even know whether you click or not. If you tell her that you like her now she is likely to think that it is just a crush and you will never get to find out.

The age thing matters ZERO! Age only matters in High School.
I date a LOT and have often dated significantly younger guys. Their emotional age is so much more important than their chronological age.

If you like her you should speak up and find out if you have a chance. I am confused however, does he currently have a boyfriend? If this is the case then you need to find someone else to place your sights and attention on. Good luck and God bless****
