No. He's male and therefore lying to you. I've pulled the exact same trick to get dumb girls into bed and believe me, that is what he is doing with you.

at first i was thinking it was the "felt like i was making out with my sister" scenario. After reading a little further i see its not that at all. sounds like he loves you, so i would take what he said as a good sign.

I agree with Cavegirl 9. It could just be that he wants to get you to bed knowing how inexperienced you are. He could have his way with you.
But there is another side to it.
There is a chance that he could really have feelings for you.
