no i dont think the brown and red would really suit. it might but i just cant imagine it. one of my friends has black hair with red highlights and it looks mad! but...dont go dying your hair black unless your really sure you want to go for that whole emo look.
Why not just get some blonde put through it first and see what it looks like. Maybe get it cut a different way so you can gel the top up a bit.
Then if you like the blonde go for a different shade next time and eventually the red if you still want it.

If you have brown hair, red highlights could really nice. It depends on the darkness of your hair. There's many variances of reds when it comes to hair color. You should definately talk to a professional, I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself.
By the way, anyone who thinks being a male who wants highlights is gay, might want to look at their favorite male celebrity, the majority of those guys have their hair colored and highlighted on a regular basis... Education is the key to ignorance.

Hey, well personally I'd say go for it because I've had red streaks lots of times with brown, black and blue/black hair and they all looked pretty good. Blonde also looks quite hot with red but try to keep the shade in the same range like intense red and cool blonde or warm red and honey blonde.

I think red would suit you perfectly because you have brown hair. Reds and browns are in the 'warm' colour family and would complement each other. However, I would advise you to get a natural shade of dark red, not the neon red.

A man vain enough to color his hair with highlights isn't considered attractive. Spend some time in the sun to bring out your natural highlights. If I saw a man with colored hair, I would think he was pretty gay.

dont please get red streaks girls like natural and will run a mile if they seen you in there hairdressers gettin highlights just keep your hair as it is bet u ur lovely dont go messing that up wit hair dye

do what ever you think suits you cause later on you would be boring with that colour and ask again for another colour. people satisfication are hard to last long

im all for individuality but men with dyed hair is a big turn off ! dont dye it !
