God calls everyone, but he expects to change from our sinful habits once we are walking with Him. He will give us the strength to overcome any obstacle in our life - Philippians 4:13.

I agree,
I was a Catholic at one time in my life and now am Bahai.
At the time i was going to Church every Sunday, and i was unwed and had been going to that church for 25 years taking my son to sunday school class and everything,
The priest never said anything to me.
Neither did the rest of the congregation.
I still continued to attend.
Eventually I was investigating other faiths and I found the right faith for me, The Bahai Faith.
We accept everyone and believe in all religions,
Although like most religions PRACTICING homosexuality is prohibited, as is sex before marriage, and Alcohol consumption.. If you aren't practicing then its fine be gay all you want., and people never judge you even if you are SINNING, no matter what the sin is.
People aren't perfect, and some make stupid comments but I honestly rarely find this in my Faith.
Tell him to come worship with us, we will love him No matter what.

You make a good point. Sin is sin. The only difference is the natural consequences for sins. For instance, a murderer may spend the rest of his life in prison and a liar can apologize with no other penalty to pay. However, both acts are sin and if unconfessed will separate us from God. Since everyone is a sinner it should humble us enough to accept everyone for where they are at. Many people won't go to church because they feel like people will not like them because of the sinful lifestyle they live. However, how else can people escape those choices if they are not allowed to associate with the "right" people. The early church was recognized by those in the world because of the love they showed to each other. It still should be.

I am assuming it is because they are so arrogant about the sin they are committing. Yes, they should come to church with the rest of us as we are all God's children. However, boasting and bragging about something that is - in God's eyes only to take place between a married couple destroys God's church especially children.
There are those that make the claim they believe - do they really then why don't they trust His Word? On the other hand, where is the best place to obtain additional education?

yes, everyone should be allowed to be treated the same. Unwed mothers are looked upon as a sin of past mistake, adulters are looked upon as a sin known but not seen and hopefully a past mistake. Gays are seen as a ongoing sin that is out in the open with no intent of the person repenting from a sin. If the adulter is ongoing and everyone knows about it then how can anyone say this sin is any different than being gay. They can't.

After we die we will all be judged for whatever sins we have committed. There is a saying, " Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone "
Homosexuals should be welcomed into a church, at least they are coming to church, not like a lot of us that aren't!

I think the problem is, and this goes toward a vocal minority not the majority, that what is driving the statements and criticisms are prejudice and bigotry, not true Christian faith.
You'll find the people who are the most serious about quoting Leviticus, ignore the vast majority of that book of the bible. They get divorced and remarried for non-biblical sanctioned reasons (which is considered adultery), they scoff at the statements about dietary laws and comments accepting slavery, yet they wish to stand on a soap box about homosexuality. Perhaps if they paid much more attention to their own salvation, allowing god to be the judge of others, rather than themselves, they would more clearly align with Christian principles.
Most Christians I know are accepting, good people who don't tend to attack others. Still a vocal minority are seriously tarnishing the image for the rest of you.

I have never seen anyone freak out. It seems to me that it would be easier for a homosexual to learn about God and sin and repent of their ways if they came to church.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Gays would be welcome at our Church, and no one would freak out. And you are correct, God does not look upon one sin as worse than the other except the rejection of the Holy Spirit.

You are right, they should be welcomed with open arms just as all other sinners.God loves homosexuals, too. what he hates is sin.And homosexuality is no greater sin than adultery,or gluttony. However,Christians cannot condone open homosexual affection in a place of worship.
