Is this taking the whole Santa thing too far?
http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/devlin/5847
I can understand the "NORAD tracking Santa" or old broadcasts of "Well, kids, we just got a report from the airport of a sleigh and eight tiny reigndeer. Time for bed"
But web cams? Isn't that taking it too far?
And, on another note, who now is going to check out the Santa-cams this year?

piepiepie: Santa is a symbol associated with Christmas, a religious (and commercialized) holiday celebrated in a few days from now. That is what this has to do with Religion and Spirituality.

I don't see much difference between NORAD tracking Santa and web cams. If Santa can be at the mall, why not on web-cam?

Yeah, what a shame, it's a see it to believe it world these days. It all starts with the family and the values we have fun learning as we grow up,,they are gone,,,very few kids have a full time parent because society makes it necessary for both parents to work. If ya asked me the #1 reason it is the way it is,,,my answer would be the womens lib movement decades ago......mommy needs to stay home,,,that's a full time job itself so how can one work and raise the kids and hubby,,lol....food for thought.

Not far enough. I want Santa's blog. We need to know how he feels about the War on Terror. If he is yellow, we will need the water board.

You fear technology. I think it's a great way to advertise and make money! It does invoke your children's imagination as well as expose them to all kinds of advertisements for toys and other things they've just got to have!
Aside from your fear of technology, which could have religious or spiritual roots, what does this have to do with religion and spirituality?
