Yes. Several years ago, my daughter bought me a Black & Decker one-cup coffee maker that brews a good cup of drip coffee in less than two minutes using a Melita filter. The unit has a cup warmer to keep it hot. It is compact, can actually be kept on my desk and is not messy. Used filters are easily disposed of and I fill it by filling my cup at the water fountain. A quick rinse of the unit at the end of the day is all that is required. I like it because I like strong coffee but the office crew likes their tepid "dishwater," We can now co-exist peacefully!

I have heard many people who love it... But I love my 12 cup coffee maker. Because when its just me drinking coffee, I can just make a few cups, I like to drink a cup while I get ready for the office, and have one on the way (i have 1/2 hour commute)... but I can also make a full pot for when I have guests over... Its much smarter to have one coffee maker, two takes up too much space.

I had one, and hated it. It was loud, the coffee was watery, and it never poured out the right amount. I had to stand there as I hit the pour button a second time so I could turn it off to prevent an overflow. But I probably just had a bad one. (Can't remember the name of it though. Sorry.)
I have heard there are good ones out there, so do some research. Consumer Reports (http://www.consumerreports.com) could help.

I have one on my desk at work. It is great as I don't like the cheap generic coffee they buy for the office.
The only downfall is that it is annoying washing it everyday after only making the one or two cups I drink...but really it is not that bad.
I do make my coworkers drool when I brew french vanilla or hazelnut flavoured coffee.
