Ok, so yes, he is saying that it is over. The friendship things.............maybe he does want to stay friends but partly they say this out of guilt, to ease their own. Think if you will still be friends that it will not hurt you so much and not make them feel so guilty. It hurts like hell!! I have never managed to do the friendship thing, I have lovely friends in my life that would never hurt me like that, why would friends work after this? Good luck to you darling, stay strong and know that there are many other people in the world that love you for who you are x

Sounds as though he would rather be mates than anything else but it could have been clearer in the text. I would just talk to him in person when you meet up and find out what is going on.

Decide what you want and then listen to what he has to say too. If it's not been easy for the last 2 months maybe mates is better? Tricky one though if you really like him.

Hope it goes OK. Don't despair though- check out www.willhecall.com for a laugh and distractions as many other people are in the same position.

Unfortunately he is saying that it's over. Often times it better to keep mates just as mates. There's more to what's going on in this guys head though. I think he likes you but he's not prepared to put the effort into making it a real relationship.
I know it sounds harsh but let him go.
There are lots of guys out there who will want to put all their time and energy into being with you and I hope you find someone worthy of you.

yes i think he is. its the classic 'its not you its me'. if he feels like that its not going to work even if you try. sounds like he doesnt want the ruin the friendship u have, because if you split up after it got more serious it would be very doubtful you will be able to remain friends. Hopefully I'm wrong and it all works out for you - good luck chick xx

it probably means he dosen't know what to get you for a christmas gift, or dosen't have the funds to get you a christmas gift or something along those lines; he'll want to start hooking back up with you again around the 29th or 30th probably so that he has a date for new years; then he'll feel guilty and disapeer until February (after valentines day), then he'll be back unless you moved on.

sounds as though he is trying to tell u he wants to go back to being mates. perhaps there is no reason for this besides the fact that he doesnt want to lose u as a mate by ending it.
