I would imagine anything that says "tour" on it is just more expensive. Now you are getting this from the guy who buys balls that have been fished out of the lake at the course I play. If you are a 18 handicapper like me, I'll hit them in the lake if they cost 50 cents a piece or 5 bucks.

There is a significant difference between the 2. The NXT is a 2-piece ball, meaning that it has a cover and single piece core.

The NXT Tour is a 3 piece with a cover, 2 piece core.

The NXT tends to be a bit longer, but the NXT Tour provides increased spin, especially when used with a short iron or wedge. The NXT Tour will check up or even spin back better then the NXT.

These two golf balls of relatively similar in composition and price. The only main difference is that the NXT "Tour" is designed to spin a liiiiiiitle bit more and holds on the green. They are not quite as good as the ProV, but if you're looking for a good ball early in the season (until you get the rust off your swing) this is a good choice to go with.

Possibly compression but I assume the cover or core on the nxt tour is different The cover may be softer and the core may be three piece but I doubt it. the nxt I think is made for distance and high spin rates off the irons compared to regular nxt?
