Yes! I served with many non-US citizen, non-legal immigrant soldiers over the years; some were Mexican but most came from Central American nations.

I'm laughing at those here who believed you have to be a citizen: how much other misinformation are you hauling around with you?

No but this might be a good idea if they want to build up forces, just ask all illegal immigrants to join stating that they will get citzenship if they sign up for 8 yrs and then you will have all the people who are bitching about illegals in the farms picking fruit and vegetables, doing the manual labor jobs that fat americans dont want to do but has to be done. the major issue with illegal immigrants they are after the freedoms that we have, most of them so i think they would make excellent recruits for our services

I don't know, but I am a civilian on an air force base in Japan. The military TV network here shows commericals that tells how foreign nationals can join the US military (without being a US citizen) and use that as credit for gaining legit citizenship. Call a recruiter and ask about it. You may have to call several recuriters because they may not be familiar with the program. I have seen it advertized many times and it does exist.

What part of the word "illegal" don't you understand. Just like a drug dealer an illegal immigrant is in violation of the law. Do you want drug dealers in the military as well???

The route for an illegal immigrant to join the military is to become a LEGAL IMMIGRANT.

Not unless you can produce the appropriate documentation. You will need a green card (or whatever goes for that now days) or other formal identification that proves you are a US citizen before you will be able to join.
