I am either going to get a chihuahua, a toy poodle, a pomeranian or a japanese spaniel. I'm not sure if I'm getting a boy or a girl, but all of those breeds are small dogs. I don't like names that everyone else has so i need something original but cute. I would really appreciate your help.

For whatever sex and breed you finally decide on, maybe try a name from their native land. Or think of a name you like in English and translate to their language.

My little white Chihuahua is named Bella Marie
Bella means beautiful in Italian. She is the cutest, sweetest dog!

I like the name "Petunia"..."Tooney" for short...
Of course, I've found that its hard to name a pet until you've seen the pet. Someone I know gave me an AKC Registered Beagle a few years ago, and I decided I wanted to name him "Elvis"...when we got the dog, he SO did not NOT look like an Elvis and we named him Buster Brown instead...
The name has to fit the pooch...but if its a girl, I like Petunia...

I would try native american nam or an indian name. Those are very original. Google.com can help. Search for cute puppy names and see what comes up

look into the Egytian and Greek gods and goddesses. I have a Zeus and i had an Apollo. there's also mythology and astrology.
but if you get a male, for heaven's sake don't name it Fluffy or something equally silly. you want to be able to take him around other dogs and not let him be embarrassed by his name.

Watch one or two of your favorite movies and use a character name from one of them. Doesn't have to be a main character but one that reminds you of the movie.
