I really like the taste of meat, especially steak. But I love animals more, so I go without. Vegetarian for 10 years.

Steak and ribs were the only things that KEPT me from going vegetarian for many years. Finally when I stopped getting the flavor I wanted, even out of the highest quality steaks, I finally decided I might as well take the opportunity to stop eating meat.

I still like the smell of steaks cooking on the grill... but I think it's mostly the sauce, which I still put on my veggie kabobs sometimes, or on my Quorn when I grill it. After a year and a half of being veg, I am finally to the point where the appearance of a steak is gross to me. Especially the ones that are pink in the middle... how I used to love 'em!

I found steak to always give me stomach cramps, and it is hard to chew/swallow, and I don't like the taste unless it has tons of sauce or something. I never was a real red meat eater, but I ate it if we were over at a friends house for dinner. So my answer would be "no I dident like steak before I became vegetarian"

I used to LOVE steak. Apparently when I was little I hated all red meat (isn't that interesting!) but once I was about 11 or so, I started to LOVE it and I would eat two steaks if my mom would cook them.

Now I'm a vegan and watching people eat steak or a burger or fish or cheese or butter or milk makes me want to vomit.

It's amazing how a little bit of awareness can change your outlook.

Right now I'm transitioning into being a vegetarian. I have given up all pork and red meat products. I still eat chicken and fish though. I was never much for steak though, so it hasn't been hard to give it up. I did like my hamburgers though, but I LOVE Gardenburgers, with cheese and veggie bacon! Scrumptious!

I will eventually give up chicken and fish, probably just chicken as of right now. I'm going in stages.

So, I guess to answer your question, no, I didn't really like steak all that much.

Not steak in particular, no. Hamburgers, now...that's another story!
Luckily, I also happen to adore the flavor of Morningstar burgers, so I never felt deprived.

i would eat it but it wasnt my favorite. i havnt had meat in a whilllle now, and the last time my family ate steak in front of me i had to leave the room because it was making me sick just looking at it. its weird how taking something out of your diet can change how you view it.

I never liked it. My parents would make me eat it but I would always have to cover up the taste of any meat with as much Heinze 57 and Lawry's seasoning salt as possible.
