I have no idea sister, but I'll throw ya on my prayer list tonight. I think the idea of calling churches is a good idea - and I would check with the united way - look how to contact them in yahoo yellow pages.

Good Iuck - Peace onto you.

I lost my leg as well, I understand what you are going through. I had 16 surgeries then the amputation. Then I had 4 more on the knee of that leg, because I kept falling and dislocating the knee. Then I had the knee amputated so I had two amputations. It is quite a shock to your body to loose a limb. You have my prayers.don't think that you have to be brave, if it is bothering you please see a talk therapist. I know that you have lived with pain all of your life, but it is kind of like giving up when they remove the leg.
How old are you now? I had a childhood accident with my leg as well.I went through a depression after my amputations.
You can try the Salvation Army for Christmas or call local Churches they may be able to help. Best wishes!

First I would contact the nearest Lion's Club of America. They are masters of assisting those in need. Then I would begin checking with local banks, savings & Loans, and area churches. There are also a number of Walmart and K-Mart Stores that collect for the needy. They would be able to direct you to such an organization.

Hit up the churches, they always say they are willing to help those in need. Put them to the test. Also get someone to go around to local stores and places like that, to start taking up a collection for you. Don't do this yourself, as I think, you can get in trouble for it.

Many churches are more than willing to help people through their hard times. I assume you're one of faith by the last part of your question, so it may be worth making a call to a couple.
