Everyone keeps telling me im not capable of handling a dog. That is not true. He was part chow part sharpei. When we first got him they told us he had been trained very hard to be a gard dog. They also said he had been whiped and hit a lot and that because of that he was mean to a lot of people. We said we would take good care of him. We did until we had our whole family over. He bit my grandpa, my uncle, my 2 year old cousin, and my other cousin. That was bad. A few weeks later he cornered my neighbor and bit her. He said he could sue us if he wanted to. It was hard but we had to put him to sleep.

After taking the obedience class advice, call your local shelter and ask to bring your dog in to meet the other animals there. Find a dog you like and make sure they are compatable.
You might want to study dog behavior as well so you know how to train and discepline your pets to avoid another tragedy.

If you just put a one-year old dog to sleep due to its behavior, (unless that behavior was that it attacked and maimed someone) in my opinion you don't need to have another dog and probably shouldn't even have the one you do have. Putting a dog to sleep is a drastic answer to unwanted behavior. You can't count on perfect behavior from any type of pet, and a 1 year old dog is technically still a puppy. I can't help but feel like you are sadistic to do this. I really hope you don't get any more pets. I'm sorry. I don't mean to sound mean, but when I read your question it just really hit a nerve and upset me. I can't be the only one who feels this way.

Are you psychological or some thing? i will't trust you positioned a a million 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous domestic dog down. definite at one they are nonetheless a domestic dog. you would possibly want to not actually have a canines at present enable alongside searching to get yet another one. someone heavily desires to the contact the humane amenities on you and get your canines taken faraway from you and characteristic you fined or some thing for cruelty to animals. the basically reason an animal should be positioned down is for health causes, not basically because you do not favor to attend to it. i'm extremely disgusted and basically pray that the canines you've runs away and unearths an excellent residing house; and that no extra animals come into your position! You heavily choose helped!!!!

You put a dog to sleep for "behavior issues?"
You don't need another pet.
Unless that dog attacked/maimed a person putting it down was a cruel and ignorant way to deal with it. Even if the dog DID attack someone you STILL don't need another dog. You need to learn how to take care of a dog; part of that is training it to prevent drastic behavior issues! Train the dog you have, take it to obedience school. Learn to deal with problems responsibly before you take on another life to look after.

And I sure hope you don't extend that line of thinking to your kids!

Are you kidding me? That's horrible!!! Why the hell would you KILL your dog? What was the behavior problems? Peeing on the floor? Chewing up shoes? Barking? Unless it was something like attacking a child that is totally unrealistic! You should be "put to sleep" for your lack of responsibility! DON'T get another dog and I encourage you to give away the one you have now to someone who will love it and take care of it.

You should not get another dog. What behavior is so bad that it warrants death? Unless it was ordered by a judge due to a bite or attack, then you should never have put the dog to sleep. You should have worked on behavior modification or given the dog to someone willing to work harder on the behavior problems...ANYthing would have been a better alternative to death. Sorry to sound harsh...that's just what I believe.

If you would put a dog to sleep because of behavior you are definitely not a candidate to be an animal owner. Way too many shelters and owners that would have taken that dog and been happy to work with it. Please find your other dog a "home" and just get some fish, unless their swimming around bothers you!.

As I posted on the last time you asked this question....

DO NOT GET ANOTHER DOG.

You obviously can't handle the responsibility or are not responsible enough to exhaust every option available before putting a dog to sleep.

I would first enroll in dog obedience training school with your current dog so you don't have to put anymore dogs to sleep because of lack of knowledge about dog behavior on your part.

AND I REPEAT....

You put a 1 year old dog to sleep? They are still like puppies at that age and of course have behavior problems!

Don't get anymore animals. I consider what you did cruel....
