Hello,

It all depends on what type of test, that was carried out.

If you are concerned about hiv, remember stress that actually develop symptoms. I thought it was a joke, but it's still. The mind-body-connection-thing.

Antibody test checks for antibodies response to a virus
Antigens --> appears before antibodies
DNA--> Look for the actual virus, so many ppl can go without haing antibodies tot he virus so they claim, as far as the doctors i speak to the dna or antigen would most liekly pick it up.

Hope this helps

No, it won't. to this point as i'm worried, each and every person is unfastened to coach secure intercourse... or no longer. As such, it particularly is a guy or woman duty for persons to be examined for ailment in the event that they are enticing in risky sexual behaviors or sharing drug needles. it is likewise a guy or woman suitable to no longer be examined if one chooses. the cost of sorting out each and every person could outweigh any great thing approximately detecting STDs or HIV in people who would or won't have been examined besides. as properly that, even a favorable try consequence won't assure that persons will behave responsibly whilst they are conscious they have a contagious ailment. Edit - @ Ed - Blood checks are no longer required for a marriage license in all states. All it particularly is needed in my state is identity to instruct you're who you assert you're and which you're of criminal age, filling out a form to declare you're no longer already legally married and paying a license value.

HIV can lie dormant in your body for years before showing up on tests. It's been two years since you were tested. There's nothing wrong with being re-tested now. It's better to be safe than sorry, and you may feel better about it after being re-tested. Be safe!

It seems very unlikely that it is wrong. Do you have symptoms? Did the person you were with have a positive test? If yes, you might want to go again just for peace of mind. However, it seems unlikely.

if you are sexually active i recommend getting tested every 6 months, thats why you pay money to the nhs out of your pay cheque, so you have access to services. if you are worried go get tested. problem solved. no test is completely foolproof i guess, but the blood they take if it has the virus or whatever they're testing for present in the blood it will show up. but remember people still get virus's from blood transfusions because no test is foolproof
