Sure, you can use Grands or crescent rolls. I'd break the Grands in half horizontally so they're not quite as thick around the suasages.

Yes, but the portion is what you have to be careful of. I believe, depending on the size of your frank, you may only need 1/2 or less for each one.

Yes, use crescent rolls. These are already flattened and easier to cut into strips, and easier to roll around the mini links. That is how I do it!!

It would be much easier to use crescent rolls. The grands are way too big even if you use 1/2 of them..
