If someone with HIV/AIDS had a cut on their finger and made a pizza and blood from their cut got on an the pizza before if was put in the oven and I ate some of the pizza could I get HIV/AIDS? Would the heat in the oven kill the blood or whatever? What about if some of their blood got on the pizza afterwards and I ate some?

Registered Nurse here; Hi Amanda J; First the aids virus does not die when it hits the air it lives approximately 20 minutes. Yes if you have a cut on your finger and get someones blood that is infected with HIV/AIDS, yes you sure can get the virus, if you ate some pizza uncooked with blood on it from a HIV/AIDS patient, and you have a lesion, gums that have small tears and bleed when brushing your teeth, or if you have a raw sore throat, than again yes you can contact the virus in this manner. If the blood was cooked with the pizza, odds are strongly against one catching it in this manner. For the virus would be killed going through the pizza over. Just to clarify, if you ate any blood from a fresh cut from someone that has HIV/AIDS, or have a wound yourself in there blood got in your wound. YES DEAR, YOU CAN CERTAINLY GET HIV/AIDS IN THIS MANNER. This is the reason all health care personal treat everyone as if they have the virus by wearing gloves, if coming in-contact with the patients blood, or body fluids.

fresh blood on the pizza after it was cooked Maybe. Before it was put in the oven I would think not. I would believe that the heat from the oven would destroy the virus. But if you think you may have come into contact with Aid infected blood I would call the Health Dept. to be sure.

I think you can, If blood dripped on the pizza and you ate it immediately and you had an open sore in your mouth or in your stomach .

No not at all. It doesn't work like that you would have to come directly in contact with the blood, that was an indirect way of coming in contact with HIV contaminated blood.

DON'T WORRY YOU ARE OKAY. IF YOU ARE SO WORRIED ABOUT GETTING HIV, YOU SHOULD BE MORE CAREFUL WHERE YOU EAT. TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE YOU KNOW SOME ONE WITH HIV IS COOKING FOR PEOPLE AND CUTTING HERSELF OR HIS-SELF YOU NEED TO TALK TO THAT PERSON AND LET HER KNOW SHE NEED TO STOP AND TAKE CARE OF THAT CUT BEFORE DOING ANYTHING.

No, this is impossible since the HIV/AIDS virus dies as soon as it hits the air.

No, the HIV/AIDS virus dies as soon as it touches air, so that would be impossible. You're safe :-)
