Im in heart line, i can answer ur question. Its called Holter...its itchy cos of the tape...try not to sctratch it too hard cos it can disturb the recordings.
This Holter machinne basically record ur heart beat 24 hours.
You have tachycardia but it could happen any moment-so Holter is best for you. Most of the time its caused by stress, anxiety, too much tea /coffee..the other reason is your heart nerves. Most of the times, its not dangerous too. If its just happen once in a while, you can lead a normal lives. If its often-he will put you under medication to regularize ur heart beat.

ur Echo findings are normal-means that you dont have mitral valve prolapse, hole in the heart, etc...so you will be okay

I wouldn't worry too much, it's not uncommon for a cardiologist to use a heart monitor to check heart rate. It will on be for 24 hrs, I presume, so you might have to just put up with the itching. I've never had a problem with itching.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. You doctor is being thorough so that's good. You might be having a local reaction to the adhesive in the monitor pads....is that where it's itching? If so, call your cardiologist's office and ask if it's ok if you take some benadry. That may alleviate the itching.

I have had it many times.. It simply "records" your heart rate continuously for 48 hours or 72 hours, (depends on when you get it off), and they will be able to "see" what went on, while you record on the paper all your activities...

(They found out that my heart rate went to 40 beats a minute when I slept, so I now have two pacemakers!! Yours wont be that bad, but, if you need medications they will be there to give it to you...)...

I wish you well..

Jesse
