STDs can take on many symptoms. I'm going to school to be a nurse, so we have to learn all about this stuff. Some STDs like chlamydia can mess w/ your urinary tract and make you think you have a UTI, and the symptoms might be pain or uncomfort when peeing. There are other STDs that it could be too though. and even though you might not have had sex recently, some STD can be asymptomatic meaning no symptoms for anywhere from a few weeks to a few months or longer. Esp. chlamydia. Even though its not too serious of an STD b/c its an infection that you can get rid of, a lot of people don't know they have it b/c they don't have any symptoms. However, u want to get that checked out right away b/c if you don't take care of it, it can cause problems like sterilization then you wont be able to have babies...anyways I hope its not anything serious. but you DEFINATELY need to get it checked out by a DR. ASAP

chlamydia is the one that would give you UTI like symptoms but you would also be giving off a very unpleasant odor down there as well. This one often has no symptoms. Well, actually a lot STD's have can go without symptoms so your best bet is just to chill out and wait to go to the doctor. There really isn't anything that you can do right now so you shouldn't worry yourself too much about it, 2 days won't make that big of a difference. Hang in there.

It could be HPV. A very common STI. You need to be tested to be for sure. I know how uncomfortable a UTI can be, so I sympathize with you. I hope you feel better. To be on the safe side I would not have sex until the doctor figure out what is going on, and when you do become active again be sure and use protection. You can go to your drugstore and get Azo (I think the name is actually Azo standard, but I am not sure, the pharmacist can tell you) pill to help re leave you from the discomfort you are feeling, it will only help if it is a UTI, and take cranberry pills, and drink lots of cranberry juice. This will all help with the UTI. Best of luck.

There are STD's that can cause burning when you urinate, but most of the time it could just be a little irritation.

I get at least 2-3 UTI's a year - so I know a whole hell of a lot about them. I just got over a really bad kidney infection as a matter of fact...

Try cranberry vitamins (they sell them at the grocery store) - these are better than drinking the juice because they are so concentrated. hopefully it will help with your symptoms before you get to the doctor. I used them when I thought I had a UTI - totally helps!!
