alot also depends on any other chronic conditions the person may have,there age and how good they are with their treatment plan for the chf,following the diet restrictions,appropriate meds,follow up with md etc...i can think of a couple people i took care of having had chf for up to 10 years but again alot factors into it

you have to take all factors into consideration. You cannot simply extrapolate statistics to your patient without considering factors such as age, co-morbidity, degree of failure, meds, race .........
