I just posted about my dog's inner ear infection, and just wanted to let you all know that the amox I gave my dog was what we had left over from a previous vet visit. It is still good - doesn't expire til 2008. Secondly, this isn't the first time I've treated animals, and third, she IS going to the vet at 3pm, like I stated in my original post. I love my Grace. I wouldn't harm her in any way.

Just an update - she went to the vet Monday and it is an ear infection.(yeast and bacterial infection) She also has some infection in the tooth she just lost, which is probably why she got the ear infection. The Vet gave me ear wash solution and antibiotic ear drops plus she is to stay on the amox for her tooth. She's doing better and I can tell she feels better, but she's still having trouble walking - gets dizzy and stumbles a little. But hopefully that will get better as the infection clears up. She has to go back to the vet on Friday for a follow-up. Thanks!

The vet is your best option...

it can't hurt. If you don't get a resolution that permenantly solves the problem, look into a vet that knows more about allergies. I went through a year of ear infections with one dog before i went to a new vet who accurately diagnosed the problem and we were able then to control the infections with allergy medication rather than antibiotics.
