I've had a few teeth pulled and for the most part it doesn't hurt too much. I had novocaine and if an oral surgeon pulls them it will be quick and painless! Your jaw is a little sore afterwards but they usually give you meds for that and even that doesn' tlast too long. I wouldn't worry about it too much, the anxiety was the worst part for me!

I had 6 pulled at one time when I was 8 or 9 years old. 2 of those were permanent. Yes, it's a bit uncomfortable when they twist and yank them out, but I made it through just fine. I don't remember it being too bad after either. I missed the rest of the school day, but I was out playing with friends in the afternoon. I had local anasthetic.

I had to have 4 teeth taken out before my braces were put on. I had a general anasthetic- just woke up feeling woozy but very little pain. You'll be fine. All worth it in the end!

I have only had wisdom teeth pulled out and had them done under a local which was fine. The biggest tip I can give you though, is afterwards use a mouthwash made of a salt and water solution as often as you can; once an hour if you can manage it. It really helps with the pain and is very good for helping fight infection.

I had 4 molars taken out when I had braces and they put me under general anasthetic. It was not really that uncomfortable afterwards either. As long as you follow the doctor's orders, you should be fine. Good luck!

LOCAL is better im a dental nurse and there is much less chance of something serious going wrong as with general people do die under it if you have local there is no pain !!!!!!!!!! i have had wisdom teeth out all you feel is pressure bot no pain at all its like C sections they use local for that do you really think people would lie there awake having their stomachs cut open if they could feel it ?
YOHAN IS WRONG !!!!!!!! TEETH NEED TO COME OUT FOR BRACES TO CREATE ROOM

GET A SECOND OPINION!
A lot of times, it's not necessary to have teeth extracted for braces!! I went to an orthodontist who wanted to pull 4 of my teeth, and when I went to get a second opinion the doc said I didn't need to have anything extracted. Got normal braces with all my teeth and years later my teeth still look great!
Try to ask another orthodontist before you get your braces or you may be getting rid of your teeth for no reason!!

really there is nothing to worry about.. they will give you a needle, which is absolutly painless i advice u look away and you will start to drift off feeling very woozy and tired and that is when they will start it will take up to about 20 minutes, wen u wake up you'll feel very light headed and drunk and they will give u oxgen and everything will be just fine..promise x oh and by the way braces are a little annoying, its hard to brush ur teeth, its hard to eat when the orthadontist has tightened them coz its quite painfull but beleive me you will adapt to them and some brilliant results as well lol hoped i helped!

I had this done before i had my braces fitted. My dentist gave me injections to numb my gums, however i didnt like this so made him stop, so he tried to yank the teeth out which simply just crumbled in his pliars. Make sure you have the injections and it wont hurt at all. I didnt feel sore after at all, the bleeding stopped quickly. Dont panic about things because its all worth it in the end and your dentist will know what he is doing and make it as comfortable as possible

properly for enamel that wern't thoroughly out of wack first of all it takes approximately 2 years plus retainer.....in spite of the undeniable fact that it relatively relies upon on your enamel and the style of braces you get..... and for suggestion on colorations i've got found out to consistently get the particularly lighter colorations via fact even nonetheless you think of the actual surprising colorations are the prettiest they make you seem such as you have something on your enamel expecially in photographs... so yeah the easy easy pinks, purples or whites ... even perhaps a easy blue or easy orange may be the suitable!! additionally the lighter colorations make your enamel seem whiter and thats a plus! stable success & wish that enables =]
