How to throw a tight party?

Well I'm in highschool right now and Its close to my birthday,and i just want to throw a tight before party,party.Cool huh?
But yeah I was just wondring as a guy how i should get everything set up,this is going to take place in the basement.and i well...just want to know how to make this a night a night to remember,An also no drinking.so thats going to be difficult.Alright thanks,

set up some stereo equipment to your computer... if you use a stereo, your cd's will skip when people jump... get lots of chips and pop, and tell everyone they can bring chips...

Ok. So if you have strings of golden Christmas lights you could use those to decorate, right? Oh, and get a bunch of pictures of him and frame them ( like pictures and frames you already have and set them around. Clip coupons. I really like the potluck idea. Less stress for you, and definitely cheap. As far as entertainment--I wouldn't really worry about it. Put on some music, but people will talk and entertain themselves.My only idea might be, like with the pictures again, you could make a slideshow and let it play on a loop over the TV.
