If they are family or good friends why not a personal gift certificate? Say for babysitting, mowing the lawn (shoveling snow), clean the garage, wash the car, etc. Be creative. for others, maybe candles or candies. A scented votive candle in a pretty holder will run less than $5.00. And who doesn't like candy?

It's so much fun trying to find something with in a certain budget, and still try to get everyone a little something.
If you have a friend that likes to fry fish... here is a quick, easy, cute little recipe.
Fish Fry Seasoning
2 cups yellow cornmeal 1 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp paprika 1 tsp dried parsely flakes
1 tsp salt 1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp lemon salt 1 tsp onion salt
1 tsp lemon pepper 1/2 tsp ground red pepper
Mix all the ingredients in and store in a resealable bag.
Be sure to give the seasoning with frying instructions.
To Serve: Heat about 1 1/2 inches of vegetable oil, to 375 degree's in a deep skillet. In a small bowl, comine 1 egg and 1 cup of buttermilk. Dip fish into buttermilk mixture. Place in bag of mix; shake until fish is well coated. Fry until fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
I also have a hush puppy mix to go with this little deal.
All you'll need is to make a cute lil fish tote. You'll need a canvas tote bag, some ribbon, sponge, and (dry compressed sponge) Buy some different color paints, and pain little fish on the bag's.. This gift was the best thing I've given as a home made treat. And people love it.
Good luck!!

This is more of a stocking stuffer.....but you can buy a pack of Christmas Mugs and in a cute plastic baggie put in hot cocoa mix, marshmellows, Volka or Hot Sex (if adults-mini) and a Candy Cane. Place the baggie in the mug and wrap it up in the colored plastic with a ribbon. You can make up to 6 or so. Great for staff ideas or stocking stuffers.

Grab a copy of Maxim magazine in the checkout line. Or motor oil from a convenience store.
