We like to eat a lot.. So when I entertain I go for 1 pound of meat per person. So I would by a good 10-12 pounder fresh or if you buying it already cooked then I'll do 8-10 pounder.

Guesstimate a pound per person and half a pound for kids. Assuming all 9 like ham any good sized ham will do. With enough side dishes to go with it there may not be a need for seconds.

Estimate about 3/4 pound per person for a bone-in ham and 1/2 pound for boneless.
