It seems that people are more promiscuous or maybe they always been. Sex is more open than it was years ago. The advent of the so called liberated society has made the idea of sex for sex sake more acceptable. The emphasis is no longer on the consequences of immoral behavior or even the part of fidelity in a
lasting marriage. Many Innocent individuals are receiving a death
sentence because of foolish, selfish behavior of uncaring people. Wise up--think condoms!!!!!!

Aids is not just an STD. I wish, then my uncle would have had a chance. It is also an attack on the immune system, leaving someone totally incapable of fighting a cold or flu. It is also able to be transmitted through blood, not only sex. Yes, people are ignorant but it's to the fact that our Govt. has refused to fund it, as it were the epidemic that it has always been, to help fight it appropriately for it's mass destruction of the planets people.
God bless us all...

It is a virus.

It can be a STD.

Lots of people can get, and had gotten it from blood transfusion.

It is very painful in final stages and very dreaded because it make you ill. It is always fatal.

Final stage may last for 5years.

It may not show any signs for first 5 years. So it is not detected right way. The person can carry it for long time and not knowingly infect many people on the way.

Aids is not only a STD. It has become a curse to humanity. As it is effecting more and more people from innocent children to a patient who has taken blood from an unknown person. It is a curse not only because it does not have a cure till now but it can spread very quickly to innocent, and faithful partners.

Aids dose not reduce the life span, if you have HIV and take the treatments and take care of your self you can live a full life. i have been HIV+ now for 13 years i take my meds, i take care of my self, my t-4 count is above that of someone that is not HIV+ if people are afraid of it, it is because they don't understand the virus. If i was to stop treatment right now i would still live a full life.

what about children born with it, are they guilty of sexual desire? How about people who catch it from their spouse, being faithful to them, are they also guilty of being ignorant? What about those who contract it from a blood transfusion, they too, guilty? C'mon do some research and learn about this disease before you go passing judgment on those who have it.

the people who get it AREN'T afraid of it, or they're so uneducated they don't understand they CAN get it. and NOBODY wants to believe their wife/husband is cheating and that's why heterosexual women are the fastest-growing infection rate these days. IGNORANCE and DENIAL
