Steroids could actually do damage if someone is having a stroke. Anyone experiencing the symptoms of stroke should go to the hospital immediately. If it's an ischemic stroke (caused by blood clot), t-PA can break the clot and help a great deal IF administered within three hours. There are no medications to treat a hemorrhagic stroke.

steroids would do no good...depending on what caused the stroke if the person falls within a certain time limit and the stroke is caused by a blood clot they might be able to get an injection of a certain type of clot busting drug and even that depends on certain criterias that need to be met
