There is no cure for genital herpes, but there are medications like Valtrex that you can take to control and lessen the occurrence and severity of outbreaks. Also, because herpes is a disease that lies dormant, then attacks when the body's defenses are down, it's important to keep your immune system healthy. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of water every day. Take a multivitamin. You may also want to take lysine, which protects against outbreaks. Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night. If you smoke, quit immediately! Only drink alcohol in moderate amounts, or not at all. Also, try yoga or meditation, as both are activities that keep you de-stressed and thinking positively. Don't worry...this does not mean that you can't have a healthy life, but do know to take extra precautions with all future partners and to let them know of your condition. Best wishes to you.

Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.
Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.

I got identified with genital herpes (type 2) about 5 years back, whilst I was still attending college and had a dumb one-night stand. I realize loads of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/dRvDD everything got better.
Not only was I able to clear away all remnants of the herpes virus from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program provided the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others by sharing this story.

Genital Herpes is incurable. There is a medicine to prevent frequent outbreaks, but it never goes away completely.

Unfortunately, there is no cure. Valtrex is the leading drug to prevent outbreaks. Please remember, however, that genital herpes can be transmitted to your partner even when you're not having an outbreak. So, if you have genital herpes, please tell your partner and use condoms.

There is as yet no cure for Herpes. There are only medications that hide the symptoms, although the person would still be contagious.

There is no cure. It is yours forever. Outbreaks can be controlled with Valtrex, but you need to see a doctor for that.
