Yes I am a strict vegetarian (no meat, fish, dairy or eggs). I've been one for a year and I feel fantastic on it. I take a multi vitamin supplement but I was anyway when I was eating meat, just as back up. It's best to get a supplement that contains B12 if you plan to cut out eggs and dairy as well as meat, as that's the only thing you can run short on. I don't find being a veggie hard, I eat the same sort of meals but using vegetarian minces rather than meat. It's second nature to me now and the thought of eating meat makes me feel sick. I became one because I don't agree with animal farming and I don't want any part of it. It's barbaric and cruel and I like to live my life knowing I'm not eating dead animals that have suffered. I also did it for health reasons as a good well balanced veggie diet cuts the risk of cancer.
Make sure you eat lots of fruit and veg (especially leafy veg for iron), grains, beans, nuts, seeds and soya products. Avoid too much processed soya. You can get natural soya mince from health shops in the UK, which isn't processed. Good luck!

I was a vegetarian for 11 years. I started eating meat again when I got pregnant. I became a vegetarian because I had some health issues and every time I ate meat, I would get sick. No, I didn't take supplements. Should have, but didn't. That's actually the reason I started eating meat again. When I got pregnant, I had a weird reaction to taking pills. The supplements that you have to take as a pregnant vegetarian are HUGE and they made me very ill. I also craved hamburgers :)

I am a vegetarian and have been for about a year. I decided to become one not only becuase eatting meat causes so many deadly diseases (different types of cancer, heart disease, high colestrol, etc) but to me it is just beyond wrong torturing an animal and then brudally killing them, just for what society thinks as food.
Right now I am not taking any supplements, I spoke to my doctor about it but he was not very helpful so I am looking around for what kinds I should be taking, I'll start taking some soon.
