The STD risks from oral sex: herpes due to HSV-1 is the biggest risk, occasional gonorrhea, theoretical possibility of syphilis (but very rare), and nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), sometimes due to entirely normal oral bacteria and therefore no serious health risk. No risk of chlamydia or HIV. Risk of HPV uncertain but probably very low. All in all, oral sex is far safer than vaginal or anal intercourse.
