no, neither real vegetarians or vegans eat any meat. Meat means the flesh of a animal, fish, foul, insect or whatever. Fish is an animal, therefore we don't eat it.

Some do but then you're not a true vegetarian. A true vegetarian doesn't drink milk, eat ice cream or use any milk products at all. Milk falls into the meat family. It's not the best way to go. There are healthier ways to eat and fish, some of any way is good for you. You should talk to your doctor before doing anything big like changing the foods you eat.

Probably not knowing the meaning of the word. The premise of language is to communicate, so it's a good idea to use the correct terminology. A vegetarian diet comprises, by definition, vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, and sometimes eggs or dairy products (if ovo or lacto vegetarian). NO animals of any kind! A person who eats fish can be called pescetarian, pesco-vegetarian or piscavore. Any of these can be easily understood. Using inaccurate terminology just confuses the issue.

A true vegetarian probably does not eat fish. However a growing number of people are going meatless. Fish is accepted in this group when they feel like eating it. They do not eat it everyday, they may eat it once a week, month or year. I think anybody who eliminates the consumption of red meat is headed in a healthier direction!!

some do and some don't. it really depends on what type of vegetarian you are. the hardcore vegetarians, but not vegans, will not eat fish. if you are a vegan you wont even think about eating fish. some vegetarians though are only vegetarians because they dont like meat, so that is what they categorize themselves as. if there was fish on the menu at a restaurant these types of vegetarians may eat it depending on if it is a fish that they like or not. some would consider this type of vegetarian a vegetarian who is not a true vegetarian. that may be true, but whether they call themselves vegetarians or not is up to them.

No, a person who eats fish is not a vegetarian to begin with. Fish are animals and someone who eats any kind of animal is not a vegetarian.

Vegetarians do not consume meat in any form, chicken and fish included!!! There is no getting around it! If you eat fish only, you are not a vegetarian! Sorry to spoil it for you all!

No, vegetarians dont eat any type of meat. Some of the communities, like in India, vegetarians dont even consume egg considering it being "life". I know some people who would'nt consume underground fruits & veggies(reason not known). To cut short it varies in varying communities.
