I lowered my blood sugar by following a modified anti-yeast diet, to the point my doctor agreed I did not need medication. Anti yeast diets are even more stringent than diets for diabetics - which will also lower your blood sugar.

For some suggestions on both kinds of diets, you may want to look at the library link at www.hufa.org.

Fruit has a lot of sugar so this is not advisable. You can lower your blood sugar by either diet or exercise. If you drink water it will be lowered slightly and herbal teas will do this if they do not contain any type of sucrose. Talk to your doctor and if you pancreas is still producing insulin you can probably avoid taking pills or shots by be careful about what you eat and when you eat. The diabetic diet is very healthy and with it you have three meals which you will learn how to measure as well as snacks. The best bet for you is to see a dietitian and have them sit down with you and figure out a plan. Good luck, and God bless.

Here are some ideas:

Macadamia Nut

Some studies show that substituting certain healthy oils, monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) for some of the carbohydrates can improve blood sugar control and at the same time won't increase cholesterol levels.

Olive oil is the most noted source of MUFAs. But if you don't care for olive oil try macadamia nuts as one of the more effective natural diabetes treatments.

Garlic

Garlic, like onions, can significantly control blood sugar levels. Eat more garlic, raw, if possible, or lightly cooked in food to help control diabetes.

Green Bean Pods

The skins of green bean pods contain substances that are related to insulin making them another great choice for natural diabetes treatments. Place about 4 cups of green bean pods and about a gallon of water and cook them until soft. Strain the pods from the liquid and drink 3 cups a day with your meals. One cup is supposedly equal to one unit of insulin.

Bitter Gourd

Bitter gourd can be eaten as a side dish or could be taken as an extract. On a daily basis, taking 5 grams, about 2 teaspoons, of powdered bitter gourd decreases blood sugar by 54%.

You can also take it as a decoction by boiling 4 ounces of chopped fresh bitter gourd in 1 pint of water in till about half the liquid has boiled off. Take it once a day.

Bay Leaf, Cinnamon, Cloves and Turmeric

Add a pinch or two of each spice to a pot of black tea and steep for 10 minutes, then ice the tea for one of the more refreshing natural diabetes treatments. You can also add a pinch of coriander and cumin as well as fenugreek. All of these have shown to reduce blood sugar somewhat.

Black Tea

Black tea has shown to significantly reduce blood sugar levels.

Limit your sugar intake. You can eat sweets as long as they're low on sugar (if you check the nutrition panel on any product, you'll see that there's a difference between carbohydrates and sugars. All sugars are carbohydrates but not viceversa) but the best way is to eat fruits in moderation (instead of processed sweets) and plenty of vegetables. Try to work out as it will speed up the metabolism. As a result, the sugar (and also the fat) is converted into the energy you need.

There is a supplement called Chromium (CHROMIUM PICOLINATE)- it is an essential trace mineral that helps the body maintain normal blood sugar levels. Chromium also may play a role in increasing HDL cholesterol (the good kind) while reducing overall cholesterol levels. It has also been linked to reducing body fat and body weight. When chromium is in the picolinate form it is best for maintaining blood sugar levels... My hubby & I have known really close friends who have been able to go off of insulin b/c they regulated their high BP w/ this, diet & exercise... Now doctors would never admit it, but this can be done. God has provided many wonderful fruits, veggies, vitamins & minerals in the earth that can help... and of course, you can't eat like a hog, you must have a good, healthy diet. GL & I HTH :)

Pills and insulin may be required but common sense is always a good idea. Indeed if people are not going to take responsibility for their diabetes I am reluctant to undertake their care. Remain lean (thin) and exercise. Avoid 'sweets' (refined carbohydrates). Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Your diet should be a modified vegetarian diet. Avoid caffeine, fats, fried foods, and red meat. Avoid cholesterol. Avoid salt. Consume some milk products, chicken (broiled), and fish (broiled). Sound boring? Although I am a physician I do not like physicians and I intend to avoid them and yes this is how I eat although my wife eats just the opposite. Sigh. I wish you the very best of health.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

If your Dr ordered medication for you take it. But at the same time eat healthier foods, lots of fruit and vegetables, drink lots of milk and eat meat Stay away from processed food and pop. Stay away from sugary desserts you should notice a dfference in a few weeks then go back to your Dr. and have them redo the blood sugar tests. Good luck

lower your carbohydrate intake -kinda like the south beach diet or Atkins..the reason is because carbs and starches have a high glycemic content so that in turn raises your blood sugar level..
